Samuel Papa Arthur

Samuel Papa Arthur is a second-year doctoral student reading English and African-American Studies at Washington University in St Louis. Samuel’s work has recently appeared in Brill’s Matatu, Asemka, and African Identities. His poetry has featured in Kente, Shot Glass, and Kalahari Review.  His research focuses on the postcolonial literary imagination, Black studies, critical/literary theory, and pop/internet culture. His current project focuses on the “spectacular”  in the Ghanaian social media space, particularly on X.
