Timothy H. Parsons is Professor of History and Professor of African and African American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He is author of seven books including The Second British Empire: In the Crucible of the Twentieth Century (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014) and The Rule of Empires (Oxford University Press, 2010).
