The Common Reader is committed to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our website. This privacy policy describes how The Common Reader treats personal information received about individuals, referred to as “readers.” This privacy policy is applicable to readers resident in the United States.

Subscribers

The Common Reader uses the company Tinypass to manage reader subscriptions. Tinypass provides us with the user names and email addresses of subscribers to The Common Reader’s site. However, The Common Reader does not sell this personally identifiable information to third parties, nor does it use it for marketing purposes unrelated to The Common Reader. It may, however, use this information to send subscribers email notices and newsletters regarding their subscriptions, or to update readers on new developments, or simply thank them for their support and readership. Unless subscribers opt out, they will be enrolled automatically in these subscriber-only emails. While The Common Reader never makes public the personally identifiable information of individual readers and site visitors, it may publicly release aggregate statistics about its online readership that do not include personally identifiable information.

Advertising

The Common Reader will be a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Any purchased made by readers of The Common Reader are completely anonymous and handled only by Amazon.
