Daniel K. Woo

Daniel K. Woo earned his PhD in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include relational studies of Asian American racialization and Afro Asian relations in the realms of social movements, popular culture, and everyday spaces. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Ethnic Studies in the American Culture Studies program at Washington University in St. Louis (2021-2023). He is currently serving as the inaugural Helen Zia Distinguished Lecturer in Asian American Studies and Deputy Director of the Asian American Studies Program & Center at Hunter College.
